Success of FSMVU Undergraduate Students
The winners of the SteelPRO Steel Structure Design Student Competition, which was held for the 18th time this year, have been announced. Two projects prepared by Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Faculty of Architecture and Design and Faculty of Engineering students were awarded.
Two groups consisting of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Architecture and Civil Engineering students won two of the three equivalent first prizes and the Fire Special Award in the SteelPRO Steel Structure Design Student Competition held by the Turkish Constructional Steelwork Association since 2004.
At SteelPRO 2021, Department of Architecture Dr. Instructor Reyhan Arslantürk, Esma Nur Kamar, Elanur Erdağı from the Department of Architecture and İnci Nur Çakar from the Department of Civil Engineering Equivalent with the GÖYDÜP Project, which was realized under the consultancy of its member Semih Serkan Ustaoğlu, and Buğra Arslan, Aslıhan Aydoğan, Ersan Erdoğan and Batuhan Varol from the Civil Engineering Department with the ASYAP Project. It was deemed worthy of the First Prize and the Special Design for Fire Award.
The award ceremony of the competition, which was held in order for students to gain experience in steel structure design and applications and to develop creative solutions emphasizing the features of steel structure, was held online on November 25.
